Our Commitment to Sustainability
As a sustainable way of construction, Aterko has made a place for itself in modular construction. We are always ready to do our part in producing the sustainable circular economy that our planet, which is facing a very serious climate problem, needs, with the aim of creating a better future. In this context, we will quickly realize all possible reductions in our emissions.
ATERKO IS A UN GLOBAL COMPACT PARTICIPANT.

“ We are pleased to inform you that ATERKO YAPI DANIŞMANLIK SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş. has been accepted as a participant of the United Nations Global Compact. We warmly welcome your company to a global network of over 15,000 companies and 4,000 non-business participants that are committed to building a sustainable future. “
It defines how we will reduce the emissions associated with our business, while providing the opportunity to offer innovative products and services that help our customers achieve their sustainability goals. Steel is one of the most recyclable metals in the world. We reuse, renew and recycle the products we produce. We work within a model that minimizes waste by using efficient design components in our production facility. Our buildings are reusable, reconfigurable and recyclable. For a sustainable future, we want to take steps that improve the world we serve by finding solutions to support our Net Zero roadmap.

Our Sustainability Actions
One of the biggest interventions we will take to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions will be to switch to 100% renewable energy, either through acquisition or on-site generation. By using renewable electricity to power Portakabin's global operations and replacing our natural gas consumption, we will eliminate our critical reliance on fossil fuels.
Renewable energy
Working with our suppliers to transition to an all-electric vehicle (EV) fleet and to use more efficient vehicles and fuels to move our buildings will reduce emissions from transportation. By also exploring how our suppliers' logistics vehicles are used, we will further reduce our emissions through optimization, such as maximizing truck use and increasing route efficiency.
a cleaner future
In cooperation with our customers and suppliers, we will reduce the emission rate from the use of our modular buildings to the lowest possible level. We will encourage stakeholders in our value chain to use renewable energy to power the modular buildings they buy or lease from us, and we will produce more energy efficient products.
Engaging with key stakeholders
We will supply materials such as low carbon steel and glass to reduce our emissions from the beginning of the product lifecycle, without compromising the high quality we offer our customers. We will also work with our suppliers to reduce our footprint from the raw materials we purchase, which is our other major source of emissions.
low carbon materials
We will quickly calculate our carbon footprint and take the fastest actions to ensure that the data comply with world standards. When we reduce our emissions as much as possible in this way, we will use leading applied decarbonisation techniques to tackle the final residues and achieve our ultimate goal of carbon zero.
